MANTORSHIP coaching for leaders

Guiding leaders through the questions of healthy masculinity at work.

“In my 20 years of delivering programs for companies like Microsoft, GE, Kraft, or Bayer, I've come to the conclusion that every human wants, needs, and deserves meaning in their life. As a coach and consultant, I have worked with thousands of men around the world and saw that no matter where they are, they all have questions regarding what Modern Masculinity means.”

What People Are Saying

“I have been working with Mickey on a unique professional development program that had an individual thread for me and a group thread for my team. We ended up going way beyond just sales leadership and eventually wrote the charter that now serves as my team's spine, heart, and soul as we attack a range of business objectives and challenges. The program also included looking at and improving our sales process as well as enhancing my ability to effectively coach my own team and sustain our growth and engagement. The program was a great success and it continues to have visible effects on the team.”

- Jacob Susman, Director of Origination,
EDF Renewable Energy, former CEO of OwnEnergy

"As CEO of ArroHealth, I chose Mickey for a middle management development program. He and his team trained about 50 managers as part of this program.  This was a diverse group of experienced managers and also many who were new to both the company and to management overall. We required a tailored program quickly as we needed to train so many people during an extended period of hyper growth for the company. As CEO I took care to make sure we had the very best resources training our people, And at the end of the project I was convinced I had made a good selection in Purpose and Company.  The team and I were impressed with the results and each person who was trained felt that they derived lasting value from the efforts."

- Glen Moller, CEO of Upward Health, former CEO of ArroHealth

Mastermind Groups for Exploring Collaboration between Men and Women

If you are interested in launching an on-going research-based learning system in your organization, this is for you. These Mastermind groups are a supportive space for both men and women to discuss issues about effectively working together as a team rather than as competitors. They discuss their own definition of healthy masculinity and femininity and how to balance it according to their own personal styles and the culture of their teams. The groups follow a unique curriculum that guides the exploration of the masculine and feminine elements of a culture and how the two can work together to achieve balance and alignment.

Some examples of pain points and issues we are dealing with:

  • I just praised a woman on my team and told her she was doing “a terrific job despite having a newborn.” Why did she get upset?

  • We just hired two women onto our board and they are more masculine than most men. What do we do?

  • We need more women on our teams but they are not staying. What do we do?

  • I can’t go out to lunch with a women co-worker or I will be sued. What do I do?

  • Our developers (mostly men) are not talking to our marketing communication team (mostly women). What do we do?

  • We have 80% women on our team. Is that a problem?

  • We have 80% men on our team. Is that a problem?

Participants will get the following benefits:

  • Be more able to express their humanity and masculinity authentically

  • Learn to feel and express empathy – the key to caring better for themselves and others

  • How to express needs and feelings in an inclusive and open manner

  • How to run meetings that express multiple points of view and create constructive team discussions to foster creativity and innovation

  • Work through cases from work to learn ways of more effective collaboration between men and women
